Become a Volunteer
We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for becoming a volunteer at Italian Aged Care. Every volunteer within Villa Terenzio is a valued and respected member of our community. Your role is important and will assist us in enhancing the lives of our residents across the organisation. We want you to be happy with us and to find the voluntary work satisfying and meaningful. We encourage you to provide and receive feedback during your time at Villa Terenzio.
The role of the volunteer is to enhance the experience of the residents living within Villa Terenzio. Your role will have an impact on our residents so please let us know if you are sick, unavailable or going to arrive late, so that we can keep the residents informed.
As a volunteer, we ask that you be able to provide us with proof of receiving the flu vaccine. You will be encouraged to improve your knowledge, skills and also to grow personally. You will be given opportunities to improve your knowledge/skills and we encourage you to attend as much training as possible.
We strongly encourage you to attend the training on:
- Manual handling
- Hand hygiene/infection control
- Fire safety
- Mandatory Reporting
- OSH – Occupational Safety & Health
These training sessions are included in the Volunteers meetings which are held quarterly.
