Casa Cabrini is the state-of-the-art new care facility at Villa Terenzio, boasting 81 new rooms, including 3 rooms specifically designed for couples.

A modern 3 floor facility with 6 intimate lounge areas, tea, and coffee stations to relax and chat with family and friends. Each floor has a bright dining area and an on-site kitchen to server our Italian and International Cuisine.

All resident quarters have their comfort catered for with spacious 17.5 m2 rooms with oversized en-suite bathroom, king single bed, smart TV and superfast fibre internet connectivity.

Villa Terenzio Nursing Home is a 21-room facility, including 4 double rooms, designed for older individuals requiring a higher level of physical care. Meals are served in the communal dining room adjacent to a large, airy, and sunlit lounge room. The Standard NH room is 17.5 m² without en-suite.

There is a smaller lounge room in a quiet corner of the nursing home area which is fondly known as “the Sun room”. The Sun room provides residents with a more private area to meet with family and friends. There are facilities available in the Sun room so residents and visitors can enjoy refreshments within this pleasant and peaceful room.

Doors open from the dining room into a spacious outdoor area. The charm of this courtyard, like others in the facility, has been created by our enthusiastic Occupational Therapy staff and the residents. This area has recently been overhauled with a solid patio fitted to provide shelter from the elements, and a large wood-fired pizza oven installed.

The Connie’s Wing Unit has 26 beds for those requiring secure dementia care and have higher level of physical needs. Both the Single and the Shared Bedroom are approximately 16 m2 with a large en-suite.

In 2016 a new room was developed to cater for a couple. This has been done due to the recognition that some couples may wish to enter residential care together. A purpose built room with oversized bathroom has been created to address this need.

Meals are served to residents at their table in the communal dining room. The expansive lounge is adjacent to the outdoor area. The large lounge area makes it an ideal spot for activities.

The John Re area is designed for people who require specialised secure dementia care. There are 18 single rooms and are approximately 20 m2 with a large en-suite. For the residents’ safety, the unit is secured, but residents have free access to the indoor and outdoor areas within the unit.

Meals are served in the small, homely kitchen adjacent to the communal dining room where the residents are served at their tables. There is a cosy lounge and an activity area where residents who wish to can participate in a number of varied activities under the guidance of the Occupational Therapy staff.

The two separate Mediterranean Courtyards were designed and created following funding from the State Government through the Office of Multicultural Interests.

Here the residents can sit and watch the world go by in the shade of the gazebo around which flourishes a grapevine. Throughout the courtyard are olive trees, lemon trees and containers with a variety of herbs.

The Villa Terenzio Houses were established as a low care facility (or hostel). It comprises 41 single en-suite rooms located in a clustered housing model. The Standard Houses room is 20 m2 with 4 m2 en-suite. Each of the four houses has its own kitchen, dining and lounge areas. Meals are served in the dining room of each of the 4 houses, although lunch and dinner can also be enjoyed in a communal dining room

For those who enjoy a more social environment, there is an expansive lounge adjacent to the communal dining room where residents gather for activities, a chat or just to watch television.

Central to each house is a delightful courtyard where residents can participate in growing herbs and other plants in the raised garden beds.

Or they may choose to simply sit back and relax in this shaded, colourful and aromatic area.

Known as Cabrini Retirement Village, Italian Aged Care’s Independent Living Units comprise 11 two-bedroom units for those wishing to live independently within a supportive community.

From living in the units on site, residents become familiar with Villa Terenzio and get to know the staff and residents. This ensures an easy and pleasant transition to residential care should their daily care needs increase.

Many of the residents in the units attend the Day Therapy Centre on site, introducing them to a range of activities and fostering friendships with other participants in the wider community.

Included are hazard alarm links and staff are available 24 hours a day for emergency attendance. Additional services, such as meals can be provided for an additional fee.
